Overview
One of my good friends came to me with a vision for a minimalist cookbook filled with delicious recipes that she had accumulated among her world travels and from her youth.
Challenge
I found the most difficult aspect of this project was displaying large amounts of text without fatiguing the reader. Another challenge was finding the sweet spot in font size and layout that maintained consistency throughout all recipes.
Approach
Myself and the author made many visits to bookstores to examine other cookbooks for what sticks out on the shelf and within the pages themselves. After establishing the look and organization we wanted I aimed for a general recipe layout that invited readers warmly without overwhelming them.
